Morgan Offutt

Ranch Manager

Ranch Manager, Morgan is a passionate horse lover who is excited to be working with like-minded horse people at SVHC. She has been building her career as an equine professional since receiving her BS in Equine Sciences from Colorado State University in 2020. She fell in love with horses as a kid when she started taking riding lessons and competing in barrel racing, and she hasn't stopped riding since. Morgan has worked in the horse industry since she was a teenager, with jobs varying from a barn hand for boarding stables, to a wrangler for dude ranches, to even an intern for a horse trainer. She is also the Horse Manager at Pebble Creek Ranch, and a part-time sleigh driver in the winter, in addition to her role as Ranch Manager for SVHC. She has worked with many different breeds and disciplines, but has a soft spot for mustangs and rescues. She personally adopted her mare, Ivy, from Colorado Horse Rescue two years ago, and it was the best decision! So many good horses end up at rescues for no fault of their own, and every horse should be given a second chance. Morgan previously had an internship with the Bureau of Land Management Wild Horse and Burro program, where she was immersed in wild horse adoptions, gathers, management policy, and holding facility operations. This internship made her fall even more in love with mustangs, and she would like to pursue training mustangs in her future. With mustangs and rescues being her passion, she is a great addition to the team!
