Riding Lessons, Winter and Summer
In 2025 we are offering both group and individual lessons subject to availability. Membership of SVHC is required to participate in lessons.
Winter Riding Classes - 1 HOUR
While we cannot offer the same riding lessons that we offer in the summer due to our outdoor facilities, we still wanted to offer riding opportunities to our members.
- Class Agenda – Horse Safety, Grooming, Groundwork, Equitation, Walk-Trot-Canter, as the weather allows.

This class is more focused on horsemanship basics, with riding time as the weather allows. For beginner riders, the class will focus on things like catching and tacking up your horse, and riding basics such as posture and position. For intermediate/advanced riders, the class will focus on different aspects of riding, such as bareback balance practice, no stirrup riding, and other more.
