In 2016, after raising two sons, teaching middle school special education, managing a special education department, and owning a horse farm in Maryland, my husband and I retired and made the move to Colorado. After visiting Summit county in 1967, I fell in love with the area, and after completing college, I moved to Glenwood Springs to teach. Life and marriage moved me back to the east coast but I always vowed to return. My boys are living in Denver with our four grandchildren, so the decision to move was easy. Not so easy was leaving the horses, so here I am at Summit Valley Horse Center.
