Dave DePeters

Dave DePeters and his wife, harpist Elizabeth Hainen, first came to Summit County in 1998 for a ski trip. They now call Summit County home. A native of Buffalo, NY, Dave performed with the Buffalo Philharmonic, the Baltimore Symphony, the Philadelphia Orchestra, and the New York Philharmonic, and has recorded on most major record labels and toured throughout the world on many occasions.

Dave also took ten winters off from his busy performance schedule to be a ski instructor, eventually advancing to Assistant Director and Technical Director of the Whitetail Ski Resort. In 1996 Dave was voted one of the Top 100 Ski Instructors in America by Skiing Magazine. In addition to his instructing positions, Dave also worked for Salomon Ski Company as a product representative.

Dave recently discovered the amazing world of horses. Always looking for new interests he found the Summit Valley Horse Center in the Spring of 2023. He has enjoyed learning from the staff and volunteers alike. Dave is currently the CEO of the National Repertory Orchestra based in Breckenridge, CO.
