ABOUT THE VENUE
Summit Valley Horse Center is an 80 acre equine facility located in Silverthorne, CO. We are a non-profit dedicated to providing training to fostered rescue horses with the goal of making them more adoptable, and provide our community access to the well known benefits of horse interaction. Our tagline is People Helping Horses Helping People, and we strive to live that everyday.
Open Ranch Day / Adoption Showcase
Come and meet the horse of your dreams! Check out our adoptable horses and meet our partner rescues. We will be showcasing our adoptable horses as well as demonstrating some of the groundwork we have been working on over the summer season.
In addition you can see what Summit Valley Horse Center ranch is all about, and enjoy a variety of ranch activities including pony rides, grooming our mini horses, and arts and crafts for the kids, with a ranch tour, horse demonstrations on the obstacle course and round pens, burgers & brats, and music for all.

Event Time: 9am - 1pm (8am gathering and registration)
Capacity: unlimited - Free for observers
Individual Price: $60 advanced registration to compete,
Late Registration Price: $65 if registering after September 1.
Location: Summit Valley Horse Center Ranch
Practice: Starting June 1 you can practice riding the course.
The Summit Valley Horse Center will be hosting its second annual Colorado Horsemanship Challenge. This event is open to the public and will feature a trail riding and obstacle course challenge for Novice and an Experienced riders, under age 18 and 18 and over. The event which will challenge the trail riding skills of local equestrians. Bring your horse - there is plenty of room to park your trailers.
